The DKW F1000 was developed in 1963 by Industrias del Motor SAIMOSA, a factory in Vitoria, Spain.
Daimler-Benz acquired Auto Union in 1958 and sold it to Volkswagen in 1965, but the Vitoria plant belonged to Daimler-Benz,
changed its name to MEVOSA and manufactured the F1000 as N1000 and N1300.
