X-class
470
11/2017 - 2020
Designer : Winifredo Camacho , Gorden Wagener
Produced by Nissan Motor Iberica in Barcelona, Spain
Mercedes-Benz's first and so far only pickup truck. A badge-engineered model based on the Nissan Navara (D23), sharing its basic structure with the Renault Alaskan. Built at the Nissan Motor Iberica plant in Barcelona, Spain. Exterior styling by Winifredo Camacho and Gorden Wagener differentiated the model from its donor vehicles through a unique front grille, headlights and bumpers. The interior aimed for passenger-car levels of quality, positioning the X-Class between a commercial pickup and a premium SUV. The flagship variant was powered by a 3.0-litre V6 diesel producing 258 ps. Discontinued in 2020 due to disappointing sales, with no successor announced.
